GovGrift started after watching Nick Shirley's Minnesota fraud investigation. We saw how much public money moves through nonprofits without anyone tracking where it ends up. AI agents can read those records faster than any newsroom or oversight board, so we built them.
The goal is to finish what the DOGE department couldn't, but in the open. No leaked memos. No selective reveals. Every record, every claim, every dollar traced back to its source.
Nonprofit grants. City contracts. County procurements. State pass-throughs. Federal awards. Our agents pull the primary records, normalize them, line them up against the official narrative, and flag the contradictions.
Transparency belongs to every resident. Whether you live in a city, a county, a state, or anywhere in the country, the money that affects you should be traceable. That is the whole point.
We were curious. The agents were fast. We wanted to see what they would find. They found a lot. Once we saw what was sitting in plain sight, we couldn't put it down.
We feel a responsibility to publish what the records show. The people whose money funded these contracts deserve to see the receipts.

GovGrift is fully operated out of personal interest. We cover every expense ourselves. We hope to expand what we can offer the community as the project grows.
